Ari Medeiros is Industrial Operations Director at Veracel Celulose. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from PUC/RS, a Postgraduate Degree in Environmental Management from Markaryd in Sweden, and MBAs in Advanced Administration, Financial Management, and Business Management from Fundação Dom Cabral and Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He has also completed specialization courses in Advanced Management TBL – Transition to Business Leadership – at IMD Institute in Switzerland and an Innovation Excellence course at Google, promoted by TLN – The Leadership Network – in New York. In November 2020, he completed IBGC’s (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance) 64-hour course and became a certified Executive Management Advisor.

With nearly 40 years of experience in major companies in the Pulp and Paper sector, Ari has worked in leading Brazilian Industries (Riocell, Ripasa/today Suzano - Limeira, Aracruz, and Veracel) and has made technical visits to roughly 35 countries throughout his career. He is also an active member of Technical and Philanthropic Associations such as ABTCP, ASPEX, ABAF, SINDPACEL, and APAE (ES and RS). He was chairman of ABTCP’s (Brazilian Pulp and Paper Technical Association) Executive Board in 2018-2019, and is the current Vice-President of COMEX (Foreign Trade Council) of FIEB (Federation of Industries of Bahia).
